Browne&Co has a highly experienced, multicultural and friendly team who would like to assist you. The staff uniquely combine professionalism with a relaxed and flexible attitude.

	Phillip Browne FCA Managing Partner Phillip has a Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) from Macquarie University, a Graduate Diploma in Taxation Law from Charles Sturt University and a Company Director Diploma from New England University. He is accredited as a Chartered Accountant (FCA)Tax Agent, Registered Company Auditor, Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia (FTIA), Justice of the Peace and a member of The Executive Connection (TEC37). Phil has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant, working with business on solvency issues, consulting and audits.
	John Hensley CA Partner John has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University, and completed his Chartered Accountant qualifications in 2004. John has been in practice since 1999 and has extensive experience in advising a wide range of businesses in all areas of their accounting needs and requirements. John is a focus session leader, teacher and also assignment and exam marker for the CA Program conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
	Peter Adams CA Tax Director Peter has a Masters Degree in Taxation Law from the University of Melbourne and has worked in taxation and consulting for over 20 years. Peter lectures at the University of Central Queensland, Sydney Campus, and the University of Technology Sydney in Taxation Law and Business Law.
	Manuel Escudero Audit Manager Manuel graduated from his Bachelor of Public Accounting in 2003 with first class honours and has only a few subjects to complete in his Chartered Accountant qualification. Manuel's experience comes from Deloitte where he worked, in Sydney, Melbourne and Mexico over the past 8 years.  Manuel has outstanding professional practice experience in Audit and Accounting.
	Charles Berkeley CA Senior Accountant Charles studied his Bachleor of Commerce degree at Newcastle University. He is originally from Parkes, in country NSW and is a Chartered Accountant. Charles has most recently spent time working and travelling in London and Europe. He has over 5 years experience in chartered accounting in Sydney with Saccasan Bailey Partners and Walter Turnbull.
	David Su Undergraduate Accountant David Su undertook work experience with Browne&Co in Jan/Feb 09 through the Insititute of Chartered Accountants High Achiever program. David is now an Assistant Accountant at Browne&Co working part time. David is a second year student studying a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney.

	Anna Donaghy BBA Business Manager Anna has Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Accounting from Macquarie University. Anna worked in international recruitment for Macquarie University and the International College of Management Sydney. She has now been working in Business Management for Browne&Co, FWA Eagar&Co, Backpackers Buddy and BEX Financial for 3 years.
	Kristy - Lee Gardiner Personal Assistant Kristy joins Browne&Co from the Hunter Valley where she worked in sales and marketing for a large resort. Kristy is studying a Business degree, majoring in Corporate Governance.
	Suet Mandic Bookkeeper Suet has a Bachelor of Financial Administration from the University of New England. Suet has 18 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial administration.

End of FInancial Year Celebration - 4 July 2008

The Browne&Co, FWA Eagar&Co, BEX Financial and Super Return's End of Year Celebration outing took place on Friday 4 July. The activity we undertook was almost like an AMAZING RACE, around Sydney’s beautiful Rocks area. With a treasure hunt for answers to Sydney’s Rocks secrets, 3 teams will be racing to try for the big win. The activity has been organised by Sheridan Burke, Partner of Godden Mackay Logan Pty Ltd, Heritage Consultants, who is a conservation planner with thirty years in cultural resource management. Godden Mackay Logan is a leading provider of advisory and research services in environmental heritage, planning, interpretation and archaeology. They provide innovative and responsible heritage consultancy services of the highest quality. A great day was had by all!

 

Combined BEST Day - March 2008

Twice per year Browne&Co, FWA Eagar&Co, Super Return and BEX Financial get together for a half day of Professional Development and team building. In March this year we tried Lawn Bowls.. surprisingly... the Auditor's won!

 

Introducing BEX Financial and Joe Xuereb - April 2008

It is with much excitement and enthusiasm that we announce the launch of BEX Financial. BEX Financial is a financial planning company that is associated with Browne&Co and FWA Eagar&Co. After many years of deliberation and over 10 months of preparation, BEX Financial has been born. BEX stands for Browne, Eagar and Xuereb. Joel Xuereb is the Advising Director of BEX Financial, and Phil Browne, the Non-Advising Director. BEX Pty Ltd is a partnership between Phil and Joel. Meet Joel Xuereb

Joel joins us from ANZ Financial Planning where he worked for approximately 6 years. He has worked for 10 years within the Financial Services Industry across different institutions such as Colonial and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Joel holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance as well as a Diploma in Financial Planning and a Diploma in Financial Markets. During his time at ANZ, Joel was ranked 2 out of 21 Financial Planners across Australia within Business Banking. He was also ranked 25 out of 381 Financial Planners across all of the ANZ Financial Planners within retail and business banking Australia.

Joel is experienced in a variety of financial planning areas including pre and post retirement planning, assistance in Self Managed Super Funds and other superannuation matters, plus personal and business risk insurance including partnership agreements, wealth accumulation and the construction of investment portfolios. You will soon find out that Joel is also a very active person with a keen interest in outrigger canoeing, cycling and general fitness.

ICAA High Achiever Program - Jie Gao - February 2008

The Institute of Chartered Accountants allocates High Achieving first year university students to accounting firms in Australia to gain knowledge of their desired career. This year, Browne&Co and FWA Eagar&Co have been allocated Jie Gao. Jie received a 90% average in the first semester of her Bachelor of Commerce/Laws at Sydney University, and will be undertaking 4 weeks of work experience with Browne and Eagar. Jie has an interest in accounting due to her family history and we welcome her on board, and hope that her experience with us is a valueable one.

Manly Chamber of Commerce - Hollywood Night July 2007

Five of the FWA Eagar&Co and Super Return staff attended the Hollywood Networking night held at the International College of Management, Sydney (aka St Patrick’s Estate). There were some fantastic outfits, delicious canapés and cocktails and a lot of dancing on the evening. A very enjoyable night!

 

Team Activity - Kayaking in Manly April 2007

The Browne&Co and FWA Eagar&Co decided to try their hand at kayaking Sydney Harbour for the bi-annual activity day. And what a success! Leaving from Manly Pier we kayaked to Reef Beach, a beautiful alcove around to the right from Manly. The water was clear, and all who entered did so voluntarily! The Manly ferrys and jetcats gave us nice little waves to ride over and everyone had an enjoyable time. Congratulations to all the staff who took part and moved out of their comfort zone for a few hours!

 

November TEAM ACTIVITY - Horse Riding at Glenworth Valley - October 2006

The Browne&Co and FWA Eagar&Co teams took a half day out of the office for some horse riding

lessons at Glenworth valley last Monday.

Phil showed off his cowboy skills keeping everyone in line and safe, and both Jasmine and Ramia showed their natural talent, just as good as those cowgirls on McCleod's Daughters!!
